.....but that doesn't make any sense. DnD parties are a bunch of murderous kleptomaniac crazy people for the greater good. they take everything not bolted down, kill everything that has done something evil, and possibly burning down the dungeon or exploding it around them in the process. The Strawhats don't kill anyone and Nami only takes the gold when she sees it, and their destruction is too accidental. plus they aren't doing this for the greater good. that and they are nowhere near gritty enough. or paranoid about traps. DnD Parties are CRAZY not stupid.
Anyways, I think there are three things in this world I will never understand: Math, Solar Exalted, and One Piece. Which is fitting, as at least half of the Straw Hats could be Solars. Math is like thinking sideways to me: its viable but it doesn't make any sense, like a different culture. Same with Solars and One Piece: they seem to run on a valid logic that I will never be able to truly get, either because its too abstract or its too happy and silly. Is there a connection? is the abstract thought required for Math and Solar Exalted connected to sickeningly sweet idealism that makes me want to kill everyone? Or am I just hopelessly eccentric like one of the Infernal Exalted? Or is it my firm belief that nothing in this world can be perfect, thus making me unable to believe in math (Perfection in language) Solar Exalted (Perfection in humanity) and the Straw Hats? (Perfection in happiness)? I wish I could get an answer to why I seem to not understand these seemingly human things even though I myself am human. But alas, I may never know. People seem to accept and understand these things as self-evident, yet still I am boggled. Am I overcomplicating this, or am I simply a lover of the strange and beyond the norm, unable to understand why people take pleasure in the seemingly mundane and plain?
I wish I could understand such things. I wish I could understand why people are inspired by human excellence and the complicated equations of numbers and the stupid silly actions of romantic idiots that only cause destruction for everyone involved. But my brain just seems to.....hit a block whenever I do. hrm. Anyways.
Dawn of Part 3: 100 episodes remaining.
......our villain this arc is a drug addict. meh. how uninspired.
and the Starfish is still igno-oh hey something more interesting over there.
Thats Neptune? he looks stupid. he needs some serious redesigning.
"I'm going to..." going to what Neptune, spit it out already? of course I already know: throw them a party. .......and called it.
Um...Nami? ever heard of the phrase "biting the hand that feeds you"? cause stealing from a guy who is throwing a free banquet is kind of falling into that territory.....
.....I think I'm starting to see how the Straw Hats get around.....they invested WAY too high in charisma and basically charm everyone they meet, without investing anything in wisdom. personally, I still don't like them.
so basically, Hody Jones is fish Pac-man, those pills make you superstrong at the generic vague lifespan cost......I bet 200,000 beris that Luffy will take at least.......five of those pills before this arc is over to fight Hody Jones or whoever Vander Decken is.
oh great, they brought a SLAVER in. this'll go GREAT. aaaauuuuugh.
aaaaaaaand paranoia and racial distrust puts the blame on the Straw Hats.....this is what you get for not making your enemies walk the plank: pain, misunderstanding, cruelty to innocents, and potential slavery. things like this are exactly why I have a strict "kill the villain" policy, not all of morality is about in pacifistic softness.
oh and the stupid visions to. kay. whatever. we all know this is just going to turn out well for the Straw Hats somehow anyways. in hindsight, Ace was pretty much designed to die and give this anime the illusion that people can die. the truth is just that he was just pre-selected to be killed and make it look like Luffy has an actual conflict or something. but of course, he is back to his old stupidly happy self, with very little change if any, so.....I'm not sure what the point of making him experience that pain was, if he didn't actually change as a character? so yeah, I'm don't have much expectations of this even making believe that the Straw Hats might be in danger.
oh hey an octopus fishman--girl/fishwoman, whatever the term is. finally, an actual female fishman.
hm, this episode just mostly seems to be scenery showoffing and needless traveling. unless the sun tree is somehow important to the plot? it probably is, but hell if I know how.
meh, I dislike the minister for some reason. (right or left one? the answer is yes)
........is Luffy between two giant breasts..........auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh........
you made a giant beautiful mermaid princess cry Luffy. Sanji disapproves -20.
we already need a diagram to show where all the Straw Hats are......this does not bode well for this arc.
yup, Vander Decken is complete and utter jealous evil lover guy. a drug addict, and a hopeless suitor: our antagonists everybody! uncreative AND lame!
"Luffy you are a pirate, does that mean your a bad person?"
"I don't know. You decide." oh thats just a plain lobbing the morality ball right at the fandom. I really hate this, because the anime clearly treats and implies that Luffy is basically the second coming of pirate-jesus, but whenever the question comes up in story, it suddenly pretends as if this somehow morally ambiguous, when clearly your shooting for an evil empire and good rebel scenario...but pretending as if its not and that the protagonists are somehow evil selfish people. its clear they're not, they are just so massively stupid that its somehow worse than if they were. either go full grey vs. grey morality and make this all gritty and dark, or outright admit that Luffy is the pirate messiah of the rebel pirate alliance who can do no wrong, but don't act coy as if your trying to be deep or whatever while still having light, fun and happiness, you can't have your cake and eat it to. and this anime is trying so hard to do that, and FAAAAAAIIIIIILIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG.
and now I see the princes and Luffy side by side, I'm struck by how different in quality their their art style is, and how Luffy looks so rough and shoddily done compare to ......Shirahoshi, I think thats her name?. its weird.
ah, that explains the isolation and the boomerang axe: he literally has "I can't miss. Ever." as a devil fruit power, aka he has that Solar charm that makes all your ranged attacks undodgeable.
you made Shirahoshi cry twice. another Sanji Disapproves -20 there.
NO LUFFY. LETS NOT GET OUT OF HERE AT ALL. PRINCESS. NOT GOOD FIGHTER. GET KILLED BY VANDER DECKEN. BAD. STAY HERE. FOR HER SAFETY. FORETHOUGHT. LETS HAVE SOME.
No, no noooooooo, you were lucky you deflected it the first time, AND your being hunted by the rest of the kingdom! Luffy! your making even worse decisions than ever! go yourself, be stealthy, rescue your friends, get back to the ship, find Decken, kill him and bring his head back on a pike to the king to show your safe! thats the smart thing though, so that will ever happen. lets instead respond to once again being wanted outlaws by going off and fucking around trying to have fun with a smile on our faces for no goddamn reason!
ah, he marks people by touching them. I see.
and of course, Hody Jones and Decken are joining forces......this is not surprising nor is it scary or particularly threatening. these guys are small fries. last arc, I saw two of the greatest world forces duke it out in one of the greatest battles in this world's history, how am I supposed to be intimidated by anything less now?
It is a big deal, idiot. SHE COULD DIE. even if your protecting her- there is a thing, its called RISK. Luffy, its an important word, LEARN IT.
aaaaaaaaaaand aaaaaaaaaallllll the palace guards are beaten. and the fishman pirates are going to attack soon. NICE GOING STRAW HATS. THE PROPHECY WAS RIGHT. you will successfully destroy all their defenses, leaving Hody and Decken, the two pieces of fail under the sea, to wreck it even further. stellar job. the idiocy on display here from all parties involved is staggering.
oh hey, NOW we're talking about good and evil Usopp? you consider yourself good then? call out Zorro on his stupidity? hm. you might be moving up in my approval again, Usopp.
yup, the two Ministers are idiots.
Zorro your an idiot. now your fucking making the Straw Hats into hostage holders. we're seriously going there, are we? well so much for potentially good people....and Usopp is the only voice of reason here. things truly have fallen far when Usopp is the most reasonable person around.
..........your protecting the princess by putting her into the stomach of the shark. this.....I......YOU FAIL LOGIC FOREVER. being eaten is not safer! screw it, I've had enough pure stupidity thrown at my brain today.

Fishing for Fishman Island: Part 2
See, this is why I can't understand this show: you are basically are liking a bunch of fools who have abandoned any hope of a legal honest life, picked up a weird weapon, to face all manner of ridiculous amounts of danger and doom from all sides legal, illegal and natural, artificial, forever pursued as terrifying criminals because the government is run by people who are pirates in everything but name with thugs who honestly believe they're making the world a better place by being oppressive dicks who stamp out all criminals like whack-a-mole, all for the sake of risking it all for ridiculous pipe dreams or strange ideals that are completely selfish, who only make the world a better place by accident in their adventures with the morality of it all being an afterthought at best. whats the appeal?
I mean look at Naruto: sure it has turned out bad at the end, but it actually makes sense why the protagonist is doing this: his dreams evolves from just getting respect as Hokage, to trying to get to the position for the sake of making things better.
Look at Fairy Tail: I don't really recall them having ambitious dreams or whatever, the dreams are really beside the point, its mostly about a family of mages doing their best to defend their family or fight off evil dudes, I can relate to that.
Look at Bleach (all 31 or so episodes I seen of it): Ichigo is just a guy who does the shinigami thing because he knows that if doesn't, people will die because of it.
the entire premise of this story just seems to defy all logic and sense. they're not even being reckless criminals for the right reasons! If they were a part of the revolutionary army, at least they'd be doing this for good reasons, but just to fulfill some distant selfish dream, without even caring whether any of this is the right thing to do or not? that I can't get.
but then again, most criminals aren't really the most rational or intelligent people to begin with-many of their crimes are just completely stupid or has some form of big flaw in real life (I own a BOOK called the Dumbest Crook Book, trust me, criminals do a lot of stupid things). maybe this is just some strange form of realism on the creators part: the Straw Hats really are all idiot criminals, disguised cleverly as a bunch of ragtag sort-of heroes with quirks and flaws. they're just really lucky idiot criminals.
Dawn of Fishman Island: 103 episodes remaining.
As for Fishman Island's difficulty-well too be fair, I should've seen the hardness coming, One piece seems to go out of its way to make every single thing the Straw Hats do in some way impossible or ridiculously dangerous, but I like to cling to sense too much to get why.
as for this Fishman pirate guy- dweh? they don't like him because they got rid of Arlong, but like him because he was like Fisher Tiger? um kay, now would be a good time to mention that Arlong was. y'know. collecting taxes and giving them to the World Government for the cut of the profits, meaning basically he was consorting with the enemy to be a greedy villain, so......if you Straw Hats would mention that? clear things up in their books? but yeah, your kind of making an unreasonable demand here. your ordering LUFFY to do something he doesn't want to do, thats like, trying to argue with a storm or something.
Nami, why are you insisting on this reckless plan!? your smart enough to know what Arlong was up to and was apart of his crew for years! you could solve this with a "hey Arlong became a corrupt dick for the government, you have no right to do this because we got rid of someone who betrayed you!" kind of deal. this is not a reckless do-or-die situation. better communication is all that is needed to solve this.
or y'know, you could say you know MOTHERFUCKING JINBEI, AND THAT HE WILL VOUCHE FOR YOU, SO MOTHERFUCKING STEP OFF YOU DREGS OF THE OCEAN.
oh, hm, they don't have actual authority at all then.
oh hey Camie, nice to see you, unlike most of the characters in this anime, whats with all the little mermaid tykes?
see, every arc it seems they get separated somehow. now its: Luffy, Usopp, Chopper and Sanji. The former three between them have a wisdom score that is in the negatives, and the fourth latter while clever at times is on an island with his greatest weakness pretty much everywhere. I do not have high hopes for this group, that I shall dub "The Foolish Four". I predict that they will cause some form of trouble that will lead to even greater trouble in 5-10 episodes.
....you mean.......your dream to find the All Blue.......was actually a metaphor for finding the best place to pick up mermaids to have sex with?..............ok thats more believable than "find place where all ingredients of the sea can be found" but still thats kind of fail Sanji, you need porno magazines. or the internet. this is seriously unhealthy.
so lets see......I shall call you: Sensible Trio, because between Franky, Nami and Robin, I expect something intelligent to happen more than once. which just leaves Zorro and Brooke (Swordsman Duo) as the ones unaccounted for.
I knew Jinbei would come up eventually.
I hate these princes already. why does the writer go out of his way to give every single bit part a fucking quirk? he is really putting in too much effort for something that isn't all that well written.
erm......Oedipus complex much, Sanji? but then again, you were raised by this strict adopted father guy....perhaps your womanizing tendencies is a manifestation of your lack of a mother figure in your life, as if you subconsciously desire one but can't admit it because your were raised by a bunch of men and therefore have repressed feelings about the whole desire for motherly affection. this manifests as constantly trying to pick up women, perhaps maybe as subconsciously trying to find one who would be like a mother to him? hmm.
and Sanji predictably fucks everything up with a nosebleed fountain. what the goddamn fuck. Sanji, your womanizing tendencies has finally become more of a liability than a "delightful" quirk. please die.
Zorro is alone in the coral forest. whelp. he is doomed to be lost forever. but then again he has six mooks to beat up and threaten to lead him wherever he wants.
they're actually making this nosebleed a fucking plot point. FUCK THIS ANIME. and called it.
oh, the princes are good and are on Jinbei's side. still kinda dislike them though.
oh right: Hordy Jones? not Davy? villain of this arc?
I think everyone is like "what are these people shouting about blood for? are they vampires? they must be vampires, trying to get a rare liquor for their tastes, and therefore are noble vampires" because thats the kind of stupidity I expect these people to think of in this anime.
hm, are Fishmen male mermaids? are mermaids female Fishman? because I haven't seen any female fishmen/fishwomen, or any mermen yet......
oh right, Caribou is still in the barrel. fuck. they forgot about him didn't they? and now he is on an island full of mermaids.....well I don't consider it TOO bad Caribou is surrounded by water and has no crew or ship to get off of it. he is trapped and will probably die.
hahhahahaha, of course the donors are Okama, thats what you get for your nosebleed, Sanji.
Usopps right Luffy. almost dying is not funny. and don't remind me about failed attempts at killing you. it makes me want to make a list of ways people haven't tried yet.
so the oracle mermaid has predicted the Marineford War and Whitebeard's death. hm. I'm still leery of prediction things in this anime, since it has so little real magic and no real oracle vision stuff shown onscreen.
haha! Luffy is denied his meat. looks like its not paradise in Mermaid island.
oh hey Brooke, there you are. you seem to have been hanging out with the starfish, your fellow star as it were. in fact you could say that you two are getting along....
*sunglasses*
QUITE FAMOUSLY.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH............
......I think Brooke has better luck with the ladies than Sanji. not bad for a 90-something year old dude cursed forever to be a skeleton with an afro.
oh right the princes are male mermaids......I think? biology is confusing in One Piece.
oh so they can interbreed, but they both have both sexes. kay. must be very close species, genetically speaking. but then why does Oda keep drawing one as male and the other as female? aside from the obvious reason.
oh what naiveté, Luffy. the first time you actually start talking about whether someone is a good person or not, is when unsurprisingly you reveal that your so naive about the world that you can't ponder why anyone would protect something beyond "good person." your literally so naive that you think everyone is a good person until proven otherwise. your definitely not cut out for Pirate King now, philosophically speaking. you need to be able to read the motivations around you, and you can't do that with your kind of thinking. trust is good, but too much trust will just lead you to doom. you can see this just by looking at Chopper. the real mystery here though is how you got to be 19 without getting past this pre-teen naivety. I mean, you should've started becoming cynical and jerkish around 13-14, maybe you have some sort of weird developmental disorder? like your still mentally 9 or something, and your mental age is somehow slowed down, so your ability to learn is like really fast, like a child.....but its still mentally a child, so it can't mature as well as others. its trading maturity for increased learning speed, what kind of mental disorder is that?
but as for Big Mam herself: well, not everyone is a saint like Whitebeard. people need things in return for other things- trade, its how the world goes 'round. and honestly an endless supply of sweets is a relatively low cost compared to what others would demand for protection of an island so important as Fishman. so currently, I don't consider Big Mam all that bad. I'm kind of curious why Shanks wouldn't do it himself, but then again, we have no ideas on what his designs even are yet, he might have more important things on his mind.....or he is just busy drinking and being a lecher, who knows.
oh so.....Luffy will destroy Fishman Island? glad the visions are predicting accurately, burn him, burn the witch! no wait, drown him, easier, more effective. what? I can believe that Luffy will do that. maybe not on purpose- or if a sufficiently emotional reason made him do it, like say one of his comrades being in danger, I can see it happening. the straw hatted fool and the luck of One Piece's universe hasn't given me much faith in him or the circumstances that surround him so far.
I mean look at Naruto: sure it has turned out bad at the end, but it actually makes sense why the protagonist is doing this: his dreams evolves from just getting respect as Hokage, to trying to get to the position for the sake of making things better.

Fishing For Fishman Island: Part 1
ok, so I've looked how many episodes I have left. I'm at 523 right now, and the last one is 629. meaning I have 107 episodes (including some filler that I'll skip) until I'm done with One Piece for now. and three arcs.
also, I think I finally know why I hate this show so much, its obvious really: "Romance" this show is all about romantic ideals. I'm not a romanticist. I'm a person of the Enlightenment dammit, of science, rationality and so on. I have little care for romance of any form, and this is why the show grates on me: its nothing but idiots believing in idiotic romantic things that aren't there. no wonder I don't like anyone on this show: the heroes are romantic idiots, and the people who would be Enlightenment are just oppressive dicks that aren't actually any different from the pirates, just bigger and more official looking.
and why would chopper wear a hat cover? there is such a thing as hat covers? isn't a hat already a cover? these questions, it raises too many
Dawn of Fish Man Island: 107 episodes remaining
ah great. Luffy confirmed for Gold Roger clone, even if not directly related. I like anime, but I'll never understand's shonen's obsession with making history repeat itself almost exactly every generation or so. Luffy is exactly like Roger! uuh......ok. what does this mean? what does this add to the story? what is the point? why can't Roger have been the EXACT OPPOSITE of Luffy and thus gained his Pirate King status in a completely different way, thus showing that ANYONE could be Pirate King if they worked hard enough? instead, your saying that not only a certain type of person can gain Pirate King status, but that that its possible only for LUFFY to gain it, because he IS Gold Roger! but with rubber powers. thus your saying that only this one guy can be awesome enough to do it in eternal repetition! so what the fuck man?
oh right, Rayleigh makes a short speech about destiny too. why not just show Luffy a prophecy saying he WILL be the next Pirate King while your at it, saying he is the Chosen One?
70%? by that metric, most of the Supernova 11's wouldn't even have gotten past this stage, the fact that they have makes me doubt the statistic.
Kuma was their undercover ally from the Revolutionary Army. anything else from Obvious Island do you wish to convey?
ok, I admit, the sea cow running away and thus leaving Caribou there is funny. and now to watch his lame ass get kicked all up and down the ship.
see, even OTHER PEOPLE IN STORY are starting to get tired of Sanji's increased reactions towards women.
yup theeeeeeeeeeeeee Kraken! time to get eaten! in fact you could say its to get.......
*sunglasses*
CRACKING.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
even the other Straw Hats thinks taming the Kraken is a bad idea. listen to them Luffy. its apart of being a leader. listen to your subordinates and just kick its ass.
.....Caribou is actually useful for something? thats.....actually surprising.
....oh wait, I think I know now. Luffy's gonna Conqueror Haki it. that actually makes sense.
and not a few episodes after their reunification, they get separated AGAIN. I'm starting to think that interesting things only happen when the Straw Hats split up.
....one would think Chopper of all people would know that jellyfish tentacle is venomous. after all....he is supposed to treat sea-related injuries and such right? well jellyfish seem like one of those things to treat y'know? but.....apparently Chopper is ignorant as well....
Franky.....your not an idiot.....that barrel is not normal......and is kind of ajar even though it should be sealed tight......investigate?
Strawhats.....you now know that he is a Logia user, he is trapped in a barrel and your underwater.....THROW HIM OFF! be rid of him as quick as you can.
......and you are bursting your way a little too much, in reaction to too many things. ugh.
lantern fish thing. Ackbar: ITS A TRAP!
......why don't you just call it a mergiant?
Flying Dutchman? ah great, now we're going to rip off Davy Jones as well!
Vander Decken? da hell?
NOOOOOOO, HE ACTUALLY TAMED IT.....and offscreen as well, so.....telling not showing...
why can't you just go up? the lava is only going horizontally
.....its more like a Fishman Orb....
yeah....things would never be as easy as just sailing up to Fishman Island after all that, wouldn't they?
the show lives on making pointless cliffhangers for every little freaking thing. "oh Luffy finally got to the meat store, oh but somebody got there first, what does this mean for our hero, DUN DUN DUUUUUUNNN...."
also, I think I finally know why I hate this show so much, its obvious really: "Romance" this show is all about romantic ideals.

Getting the Band Back Together
......uh, I'd just assume I'd keep going until I get the last episode currently produced, then stop, and start watching other anime and shows. I've heard that Fairy Tail has new episodes out, and I never finished Trigun or Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, or Chrono Crusade or Bleach, and I've only watched the first episode of Fist of the North Star, and so on and so forth. wait for the next arc after the last to be done, do that, do some other things waiting for the next....things like that. it will never really be "finished" until the anime itself comes to a close. just long breaks where after which I then unleash my rage upon whatever new stupidity I see next. I'm actually looking forward to viewing anime I like again.
also: I developed a theory: which two Straw Hats have been the most willing to lie, cheat and generally go to great extremes for their goals? Which two Straw Hats have betrayed others before? Which two Straw Hats are experienced in playing the long con and doing horrible things for causes they don't even believe in for years? Which two Straw Hats are female? if you guessed Nami and Robin, you are correct. Now, just imagine: what if at the end of One Piece it turns out- Nami and Robin was just playing the long game? what if they betray Luffy and Zorro by tricking them into sacrificing themselves for the rest of the crew near the end of the journey- after all these two ARE the ones with the most martyr-like tendencies- and then taking over with no one able to oppose them? after all, Sanji is attracted to them to the point of being their glorified servant, Chopper is naive as all hell, Franky isn't leadership material, Usopp is a coward, and Brooke is a spoony bard. Nami then takes the One Piece for herself and rules as the first Pirate Queen. why? because both of their intro arcs stressed how you cannot trust them because of them being lying manipulative vixens. and Oda- he has shown in Marineford that he is willing to actually kill people in story and make sure that people do indeed die in a shonen- why not subvert another shonen trope of eternal friendship by making a great betrayal at the end because Luffy and Zorro were too trusting? it would have great impact just as much, if not more than Ace dying. that and we've already seen that even the most honorable and upright of people- Squard- is capable of betraying a captain he holds in great respect as a father just because of a bad lie by Akainu? I call this Pirate Queen Theory. I know, there are a bunch of reasons why it won't happen, I'm sure, I don't need to hear them. but I wanted to voice it anyways, if for the sheer absurdity of it- and if in the rare highly improbable event that it actually happens, I can say I called it.
Dawn of the Straw Hat Reunification:
oh hey, Luffy developed slightly better awareness of what other people are saying, he actually responded to Puppy-Kicker's comments about marriage.
huh, ZORRO was the first to arrive. thats a first. I wonder: did he spend his entire two years getting here? thats the only explanation I can find for him being early. hm, new outfit.....
huh, Nami your hair has gotten longer, will comment more where I actually see you in full.
Brook! what the hell man, what is this gaudy getup? a crown? heart sunglasses? a feather-scarf? you looked better two years ago, back then you were classy. now your just glam-rock cheap.
oh hey Sanji, you reversed your cyclops-locks, and got a goatee....are we sure this is not your evil twin? cause a mirror duplicate of you is totally something that could happen in this world by my expectations. nope you got sexually attracted literally to the first woman you saw, your real.
oh hey, person that Luffy would be if his body actually made sense. your evil, fuck you. also, faking your way to victory.....bad idea.....especially with trying to fake being loose cannons like Straw hats
oh, hi Usopp, you've gotten muscular. and able to actually fight well. hm. perhaps there is hope for you yet. with your fear out of the way, actual strength combined with your intelligence, you might be a better protagonist than Luffy. I will be watching. oh wait, you have a goatee to. this might be Usopps evil twin: strong, capable, brave, good at lying, likable, useful....(list continues unto infnity)
wait, the Fleet Admiral moved the main base to the New World? that doesn't sound like Aokiji at all. he is to.....relaxed.
oh hey, Robin. you've gotten.....no wait, both you and Nami have gotten sexier. better hairstyles, skimpier outfits.....hm...
oh hey Chopper. hm. you seem to have changed the least. what happened to the old hat? wasn't it like.....sentimentally symbolic of your connection to the Huliluk guy or something? you just....ditched it? hm.
oh, fake Luffy just attracted the attention of real Luffy. this won't end well. and really, I don't see why anyone would want to pretend to be Luffy. I mean, at least pretend to be someone intelligent and is consistent with being an evil bastard. like Crocodile. or Blackbeard.
aaand Luffy outright says he is not going to marry her. wow. his awareness must be more heightened than I thought! quick, say he is a bad leader!
hm, Sanji went love-happy at the mere mention of Nami. I think he is suffering from withdrawal.
oh! he just dodged the bullet like nothing then Conquerer Haki'd them to nothing. whoa. hm. how intelligent has Luffy become?
hm, women are now actively RUNNING AWAY from Sanji now. I think he has officially gone from charmer to creep.
oh hey Zorro, it seems you've finally learned Cut Ship In Half Technique. and now your left eye has a scar. hm. doesn't it make it HARDER to sword things? you've got no depth perception now.....but then again, Sanji has been doing the hair cyclops thing for years with no problem, looks like its your turn to do the scarclops thing.
huh, Franky complimenting Robin on her attractiveness? hm......odd, has Sanji rubbed off on you? and......man, your modifications are worse than Brookes. Your too bulky now, and your haircut looked better two years ago. if only you hadn't BLOWN UP THAT LAB, perhaps you'd still be cool looking, now your just.....blocky, over-muscled, looking like a frankenstein, or one of those ugly bald cyberpunk antagonists or something. ugh.
and Chopper is naive and gullible as ever. sigh. they really need to send him to an island of lies someday. as training.
and let me guess: the last song Brooke is going to play before he goes off to the Straw Hats iiiiiiis....Bink's Sake.
is this guy just a big talking head or something, show the rest of his body already.
wat. Caribou is religious. I.....don't....what.....this is stupid.
oh hey Franky's hair is back!......and then its gone again. sigh.
nevermind, its not Binks Sake.
hm, I noticed: the Straw Hats have generally been revamped to be more visually distinct and to stand out more and be less plain.
Caribou is an idiot, Fake Luffy at least knows not to kill the hostage.
hah! axe-guy is not fooled for a second! and thats curtains for Demaro....the only person who is so lame, One-Hit is taking one look at him and just laughing his ass off at how at least HE didn't have to STEAL his minor infamy.
.....whelp, Luffy may be more aware, but he still wins no points in the "noticing obvious details" department.....
whoa. they all destroy Pacifistas in one hit. Pacifistas: the new Worf of the Navy!
No.......NOOOO. This slow piano music, I'm starting to recognize it as flashback music. it always plays at the start! NOT ANOTHER ONE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
yes Sanji, you are scum.
......Nami your wearing a swimsuit top, pants, and seemingly nothing else. I think panties are kind of redundant where your wardrobe is heading.
.......your first reaction to your two lady "friends" is a bursting nosebleed. real classy there Sanji. you used to be so cool. Now your just that creepy womanizer guy with a goatee whom everyone feels uncomfortable around.
well of course Sanji would turn to stone instantly even without her actively doing it, thats just the universe pre-emptively punishing him for something he'll try to do to Puppy-Kicker in the future.
hm, good point Usopp, why aren't they coming from inland? meaning they know something the Straw Hats do not...... know that somehow, as they set sail, something is going to happen....and somehow its going to be enough of a threat to the Straw Hats that the Navy won't bother going for them.....or its because Rayleigh, either one.
or just giant bugs. apparently that works too.

Post-War: Straw Hat Separation Redux
Uh, when did morality come into this? Ok, perhaps Blackbeard and Buggy would make terrible choices as well, but becoming Pirate King isn't about morality. Its about having the combined competence, genius, charisma, and so on and so forth to get the position in the first place. Luffy would be just as terrible an option if he actually got there. He would keep solving his problems with his hammer as if he was playing whack-a-mole, he would have no understanding of how the politics work, or what would result from them, he has only changed the world for better by pure dumb luck. He barely thinks one step ahead. He'd let his emotions rule him like they did with these entire two arcs. He doesn't even pause to consider the morality of his actions, because I don't think he stops to think about whether anything he does is right or not in the first place, he just does them, he has no doubt to hold him back, nothing to keep him from just charging into everything as the Pirate King and wrecking everything thoughtlessly. and when your literally the most powerful man in the world, you can't afford to behave like Luffy in any way if you want to get anything done for the better. Shanks, I can see the Pirate King thing happening, but Luffy? Hell No. Not in a million years. Morality by itself is not a good prerequisite for good leadership, especially on the level we are talking about. You have to back that up with a good dose of Knowing What The Hell Your Doing. Luffy is a shining example of "DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE IS DOING."
Oh hey, maybe the Revolutionary Army is the one to root for. But then again, perhaps we just haven't been shown how it will fuck things up so that Luffysiah has to set things aright, heavens know that Ivankov and his mind-washing gender bending hormones hasn't set a good precedent so far. but then again, maybe this rant just me being used to a more videogame mindset, or liking Abyssals more than Solars, there, solving problems makes sense or at least are simple: the guy is evil, kill him, the monster is attacking the city, kill it, another guy is trying to take the over world, kill him, you get both awesomeness and an immense sense of self-satisfication afterwards.
Dawn of the Post War Arc Again: 7 episodes until Timeskip.
heh, Rayleigh just took on a sea serpent while underwater, thats badass for sure.
and Rayleigh has some friendship with the amazons as well AND figured out where Luffy was on pure guesswork. wow.
except there is problem with your logic Rayleigh: that all only came about because they made stupid a single stupid decision. if they simply kept their heads out of trouble and played it smart, this would not have happened. I doubt they're still going to be there with all the new chaos across the world popping up. seems less like a "strength" problem and more like "decision making" problem, which the Straw Hats are horrible at.
oh my god, this Nami interlude is taking too long to get to the FUCKING POINT. AGH, skip!
.......*facepalm*.....of course Franky would push the self-destruct because it looks like a fucking pirate flag, destroying a bunch of notes and information about inventions centuries ahead of his time.....as well as the only hope for heating the island.....WTF......whelp.....there goes my respect for Franky and my expectations of his intelligence.
Moria is dead? *and there was much rejoicing*
Brooke is the real moral person here. too bad he is the spoony bard.
and back to Marineford- wait.
what.
other person is who for certain moral: Chopper. unfortunately Chopper is naive and gullible. he should work on that. and didn't think this through. hm.
poor, poor Sanji....you'll never catch a break identity wise at this rate....look the bright side, at least Ivankov didn't hit you with his mind-washing gender-bending hormones. then you'd really be in trouble.
oh hey, I just realized, Blackbeard is Tzeentch, Shanks is Slaanesh and Whitebeard was Nurgle....now if only we knew what the other Emperors were, then I'd be able to figure out which one is Khorne....
ah, I get it, funeral for Ace.
Sengoku is stepping down. hm. why? but his decision to appoint Aokiji as his successor- glad to see he is intelligent in that area! Eat your heart out, Akainu
oh, and it looks like the New World is a whole new level of hell. First Half? unpredictable weather and climate, screwy compasses, strange islands that are dangerous just to get to, with the marines waiting to beat you to a pulp at the end. Second Half? LIGHTNING RAIN ISLANDS, FALLING UP INTO A GRAVITY SPHERE, AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE. Paradise indeed. This might only reinforce my point: Luffy can't just become pirate king by hammering all his problems, especially when he is going to start facing the hell that is the New World.
blah blah blah, long montage of.....things.
other montage of the message not being revealed. wow. that was sure a productive episode. NOT. sigh.......just one more episode, then I'm finished for this post and can start on the post-time skip and the New World sometime else....
Hm, looks like Trafalgar is smart. let others get themselves killed needlessly. your going to move in when the coast is clear and when your ready.
knew it! Bonney's doooooown. and from the looks of things, Capone, Apoo, Urouge and so on- they're not doing well either. I knew these four won't be able to survive the New World.....
and the Straw Hats basically resolve to meet in two years, kay. done for now.
So, in light of your comment, why should I root for any side? Most Pirates are selfish ruthless scumbags, most marines believe in an extreme form of justice and are flunkies to nobles that are just as bad as pirates, making the Marines willing minions who won't do whats needed to be done to actually make the world a better place and thus reducing the sides to "High Class Selfish Scumbag Vs. Low Class Selfish Scumbag", the good guys who aren't the less-than-useless marines are: Rayleigh (in hiding), Shanks (mentor, destined to not matter or die), and the good guys who can help are idiots who don't actually care for the rest of the world because they're busy going on adventures for adventures sake! and therefore can't be relied upon to actually save it. If I made my own character, I'd pretty much start killing everyone on every side. Yes that includes the Straw Hats, I'd be damned before I let that idiotic fool become the most powerful person in the world and have a say in how things go. I don't care how evil that is, the world of One Piece deserves it.
and when a show makes a viewer want to kill everyone in that show, you know you fucked up.

Post-War: Aftermath of Marineford
little arc you say well lets see.......aaaaaargh 26 episodes? thats not little. thats not little at all! thats almost as long as Marineford itself. screw it, I'm returning to the Dawn of the X format to get through this as quick as possible.
DAWN OF THE AFTERMATH: 26 EPISODES REMAINING UNTIL TIMESKIP.
hahahahahahahaha! complete victory!? oh you idiots. by my count, all you did was replace two big enemies with two others that have the potential to be even more troublesome and problematic, and your giving them time to grow into those threats. you lost three Warlords in one day, who knows how many men, people are going to asking questions about the video thing sooner or later, and Whitebeard's message at the end isn't going to be forgotten. yours is a Pyrrhic Victory at best. but then again- your probably glossing over all of that aren't you? proclaiming complete victory to make you look good in public when really your in more trouble than you realize.
but wait, these guys SAW Blackbeard take Whitebeard's powers.....YAAAAAAAAAAAAY AN HONORABLE MAN HAS BEEN REPLACED BY A RUTHLESS SCUMBAG......
OH COME ON, WHY NOT JUST PROCLAIM LUFFY GOD ALREADY!? BECAUSE APPARENTLY, ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO DIE! and apparently Fate and such DOES work in this world. GREAT! now we have to deal with destiny and prophecy shit! >:(
heheheh, new pirates are inspired to go to the New World to get One Piece, the places Whitebeard just protected are now up for grabs, the level 6 Impel Down prisoners are running loose- and the Navy can't post up bounties of those escaped criminals because the World Gov is more concerned about rep. they truly lost more than they gained.
oh. Moria's getting whacked off. GOOD! I was getting tired of his annoying laughs and his....pretty much everything else.
ey Puppy Kicker! wow, your good at tracking!
uh, more than one person saw you attacking both sides Puppy-Kicker, I don't think thats a good bet. he is safer with Trafalgar and his submarine.
ahaAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! this is what you get when you kill Whitebeard! you get pirates all across the world causing even MORE chaos than ever!
......y'know....they should've thought ahead on this and have Ivankov turn all of them into women beforehand to prevent this kind of thing.....just saying....
oh hey he is delusional! I like this new Luffy already.
well, right back where we started eh, Luffy? going through the amazon jungle after a traumatic experience involving someone dear to you, waiting for the Amazons to once again find and catch you, just like old times! hey, want to see if there are any mushrooms you can go on another drug binge with? now seems a good time as any! Ah PTSD, the eventual curse of all warriors, glad to see you finally experiencing that, a good flaw for you, don't you say? much better than jaw-dropping stupidity beyond all reason.
oh hey a new opening......eh, I don't know what to think of it, at least its not annoying like the last one
ok.....Garp......you wanted to raise them to be Marines......but you left both of them.....WITH. MOUNTAIN. BANDITS. all the facepalms. Your a parent that leaves their children with criminals, and then expects those criminals to make them upright marine soldiers. your not only cruel, your stupid. you were ASKING for these children to grow up into living backfires! uuuuuuuugh!
oh hey, looks like young Ace has the same opinion as me when I first saw Luffy, the character is dead and yet somehow he gets more awesome, too bad he will someday like him.
good young Ace, whack into the chasm! he will fall into the river and drown!
drunken mountain bandit mother is completely fucking right. Garp should be taking care of him, not a bunch of fugitive criminals. see what happened? this is Garp's stupidity in action.
.....but the cat came back, to survive another day, the cat came came back, he just wouldn't stay away....
dude a month? LUFFY YOU ARE AN IDIOT. LEARN TO IDENTIFY WHEN SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT TO BE YOUR GODDAMN FRIEND. UGH.
oh come Ace, you left him to be eaten by snakes, kicked him off cliffs, apparently threw him into the water, so......how is this scenario different? just let him die like all the other times you did so, maybe it will even work this time.
he keeps chasing him? oh my god. young Ace you need to learn how to speak up and say you don't want to be friends with someone. doubt that would work with this stupid brat, he'd probably just assume your joking or something, but then again thats kind of why I agree with you on the "should take a long walk off a short cliff over the sea" opinion of Luffy.
oh hey, whose this guy, Sabo? good, he seems intelligent.
oh! yay! they're going to kill him! two people with sense!
oh goddammit. this is why you don't let people like Luffy live.
yes, you know what you have to do: move the money somewhere else, let Luffy take the fall for lying to them! good plan.
guys, don't abandon the plan. torture is apart of the plan, and its working! this is what pirates do man. be backstabbing criminals for loot. your already fitting the part. and no, NOTHING about Luffy makes sense, trust me. he is a complete idiot, yet has moments of intelligence, he seems moral at first but then goes and does things that no moral person would do and doesn't seem to hold himself to any kind of morality, he acts like a happy naive child yet doesn't learn his lesson at all when the world shows him he is wrong, and its shown repeatedly that luck and fate itself tilt themselves in his favor, I'm beginning to think he is just a Marty Stu.
yay! he is about to die! too bad some bullshit is going to make sure this doesn't come to pass. the universe, as always, hates me and doesn't wish for me to have true happiness.
nobody else to trust? PF.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA........3 months of giving you a hard time should've alerted you, Luffy that you should trust NO ONE. you can't trust the bandits, you can't trust Garp, you can't trust Ace who leads you into getting killed.....and proposes that he kills you to protect his secret....you can't trust anyone here, your just too stupid to see that.
Ace, do not accept love from the idiot. that only leads to stupid places. he just doesn't know any better. you deserve an intelligent person who accepts you for who you are.
heheheheheheh, Luffy kickball.
.......eh, I'm getting tired of this flashback already, I'm skipping to the end. yeah yeah Sabo became brothers with Luffy as well, Sabo is actually from a noble family I can tell by people being hired to get him, Ace could use Conqueror's Haki to, and blah blah blah, when are we getting back to the present?
noooo. your not weak, your too STUPID to become Pirate King. the fact that you keep thinking its because your weak that you can't become Pirate King is your problem. you see, being a leader isn't about being the strongest guy around- its about knowing how to lead, about knowing how to command and delegate, and so on and so forth. Blackbeard is more worthy of being Pirate King right about now, hell, BUGGY is more worthy of being pirate king- if he can trick the world into thinking he is that strong and back it up with strong allies to fight people before they ever reach Buggy, and know when to retreat and fight another day, he can become Pirate King faster than you ever will, you Luffy? all you do is punch things your a thug. your a hammer wielder, all you'd do is hit problems like whack-a-moles on your way, which clearly does not work. all your going to do is try to make a bigger hammer to whack things with, when you should try to invest in some scalpels, or at least a sword or bow or something. I mean sure, Buggy could use a bigger hammer himself, but at least he knows there are other options, which he actually uses. this is why your not going to succeed, your just going to keep using your hammer for everything and hoping it works out, when you could've avoided half your problems with a good dagger or something. but no, we can't have our protagonist using SUBTLETY can we? subtlety is the way of the coward because its not teh honorablez. except wait, Whitebeard used a lot of that! kept up with Sengoku's planning. guess Whitebeard tainted himself by using actual tactics rather than just smashing his way through things like Luffesus. you know what your problem is Luffy? you can't bend. ironic, considering your devil fruit. your like Stannis, all iron, you break before your bend, because you can't possibly conceive of a world outside your own little idea of adventuring around and becoming Pirate King through nothing but guts, friendship and fists, because you shout down any thing that suggests that you can do things any other way- because then that would mean your dream isn't real wouldn't it? your ideas are in fact- wrong. the very possibility that you can simply ask Rayleigh where it is and achieve it- thats too easy for you, you HAVE to do everything the hard way, because otherwise that would be the "weaklings" way out, the "cowards" way of doing it. you think that it will give you the biggest fucking hammer while having the greatest amount of good times-but really, it only gets you pain, repeatedly, as you do nothing but cause more people to come after you and smack you down further. no wonder you'll never become Pirate King. your too busy shooting yourself in the foot by taking the hardest most difficult road to get there.
see? even Shanks sort of agrees with me. you have to experience pain as well!
oh, poor Zorro, killed by baboons wielding human weaponry. thats gotta be a humiliating way to go. oh and a cross. huh.....where have I seen that before...oh right, Hawkeye and Kuma since they're both religious or something. he already interacted with Kuma....so.....Hawkeye's island? probably. guessed right.
whoa, Usopp you let yourself go man. you were better thin.
SANJI. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU!? you have been driven mad by this island! mad I say! ah, a return to sanity.
and the Straw Hats learn of what happened to Luffy. I think this is a good place as any to stop for now.

Marineford War X: Checkmate.
Doing this second post to finish this arc up. Blackbeard has just won Pirate Grandmaster Chess, and half the people involved didn't even know they weren't players. you call it evil- but I call it winning. what happens next?
Episode 487
eh? Crocodile again?
Trafalgar Law? this is unexpected of you. hm. your a strange piece in all this. a strange piece indeed....
eh? whats happening with Coby?
Episode 488
.....Coby has developed Observation Haki? and seems pretty disenchanted with justice now.
and oh! he stops all the fighting and shouts at Akainu himself. real compassionate heart there Coby. perhaps the only one here- Luffy doesn't really count, he can't think that wide and far, and Whitebeard is dead.
and crap, Akainu is going to kill Coby- no wait, blocked- By Shanks! and he is here to end the war?
Episode 489
and Shanks stops the whole war just by threatening to get involved. guess the Navy knew it couldn't handle Blackbeard AND Shanks after fighting Whitebeard all this time.
whelp, time to see who really won, and I don't think its the Navy.
Marineford War Score:
WHITEBEARD PIRATES:
lost Whitebeard
lost Ace
lost Oars Jr.
lost a lot of men and ships
Final Verdict: They Lost
NAVY:
lost three Warlords
lost their base
lost their giant troops
lost the media message
lost a lot of men in general
may have eliminated two powerful enemies (Whitebeard and Ace) but gained two others that are arguably worse (Blackbeard and Luffy)
had to let Luffy get away
Final Verdict: They Lost/Pyrrhic Victory if you insist on them "winning".
LUFFY:
lost Bon Clay
lost Ace
lost his current mental state
abandoned searching for his crew for this
did all this for nothing
Final Verdict: He Lost
ASSORTED SELFISH SCUMBAGS:
-Buggy didn't gain the title he wanted, but he has probably gained great fame and gullible followers that are all stronger than him. Probably a win.
-Crocodile didn't get to kill Whitebeard either and basically didn't contribute all that much to anything. He is out of Impel Down and Shanks has made sure the war is over so, its probably a win for him
-Mr. 3, not clear where he is in all the commotion, but I remember that he was last with the Whitebeard Pirates giving phoenix guy a key, so he is probably with them and has thus maybe won with a ticket to freedom.
BLACKBEARD:
Lost his Seven Warlord status
Gained Four Emperor status
Gained back his crew
Gained the Tremor powers of Whitebeard
Everything went according to his plan- almost.
Final Verdict: BLACKBEARD WINS!
So. That was the Marineford War. Navy and pirate fought, Luffy tried his hardest and Whitebeard unleashed his wrath- but in the end it was Blackbeard who won. He set this all up, and everyone was played for a sucker in one form or another. This entire thing was just a stepping stone for Blackbeard towards true power- and now that he has it, the implications of what he can do with it are scary. Luffy meanwhile despite all that he did, ultimately failed, which has got to leave a mark on him somehow- and more than just that x-scar on his chest.
and of course, the people of the world saw this, and are reporting it. the news will spread around the world that Whitebeard, the honorable man is dead- and that Blackbeard, an ambitious cutthroat dangerous man has taken his place, complete with his powers. I do note however that the cameras seemed to not capture Luffy's involvement in the whole affair all that well despite being a major part of the battle. the world still doesn't know of Luffy all that well by comparison.
this also raises some questions: can Blackbeard absorb even more devil fruits? what will happen now? I know there is a timeskip after this....but....I'm tired really. should I watch the post-war arc or skip to after the timeskip? hrm. much to ponder, this darkest arc.
